It is one of the five terriers that originated in Scotland and the other four are West Highland White, Dandie Dinmont, Cairn and Skye Terriers.
Scottish breeds were separated into two: the Skye terriers and the Dandie Dinmont terriers.
SKYE terriers were paraded through Edinburgh yesterday to commemorate Greyfriars Bobby Owners in period costume walked their pets from the castle, down the Royal Mile to Greyfriars Kirkyard, where Bobby held a 14-year vigil after the death of his owner 150 years ago.
