It contains a variety of wildlife including grass snakes, newts, frogs, toads and slow-worms.
There have been just a few decent sightings of slow-worm in the Tees Valley, these being made in Saltburn Valley Gardens, on Cat Nab and at Wileycat Wood and Slapewath Quarry near Guisborough.
To help beat these troublesome pests, try to encourage wildlife in your garden, as some birds, frogs, toads, hedgehogs, slow-worms and ground beetles eat slugs.
