Federal Governments Department of Transportation and the non-profit private establishment named the Snell Memorial Foundation specified the standard and most challenging prerequisites for motorcycling helmets, respectively.
Snell helmets have been approved of by the Snell Memorial Foundation (SMF) and they are re-tested in the United States even after they have been brought in from Europe, where they undergo a previous test.
These helmets are approved by the Snell Memorial Foundation and are tested in the United States solely because Europe has devised its own regulations and methods for motorcycle helmets.
