Byline: ADRIAN SHAW THE diplomat brother of Jeremy Paxman was involved in a bizarre diplomatic row yesterday after Royal Navy gunmen were accused of using a Spanish flag for shooting practice.
Giles Paxman, who has been the British ambassador to Spain for just a month, was forced to apologise after Royal Navy officers were said to have opened fire on the Spanish flag.
During his visit Spain and Lebanon signed a tourism cooperation agreement which paves the way for Spanish flag carrier Iberia to begin operating direct flights between Madrid and Beirut.
