a.  a scoring system in which points are awarded according to the number of strokes taken at each hole, whereby a hole completed in one stroke over par counts as one point, a hole completed in level par counts as two points, etc.

While each player will compete for individual honors -- to be played as individual stableford with a three-fourth handicap (under Division A & B) -- they will also be part of a team-of-four alliance, with the two best scores on each hole counting towards the team total.
