In addition to examining effects of BC on BP, we also hypothesized that these effects would be stronger among participants with genetic variants associated with impaired oxidative stress defense and therefore evaluated statistical interactions between BC exposure and relevant gene variants.
Finally, the models were examined for statistical interactions, and odds ratios (ORs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated.
Care needs to be exercised in interpreting the results of those statistical interactions that were significant in these models, particularly regarding the role of centers.
