The training workshop was held to provide training to the reinstated reporters/sub-editors about the policy, rules and regulations, the scope of reporting and Sub-editing, codes of conduct, journalistic values, the discharging of their professional duties, the exchange of news with newspapers and television news channels including national and international news agencies and coordination among different departments of the premier news agency.
Sub-editing - or subbing as we call it in the trade - is a much-maligned and easily overlooked craft.
A CORRESPONDENT to today's letters page rightly praises the actions of John Sergeant, the political correspondent turned ballroom star who in his early years graced the sub-editing benches of the Daily Post.
