The Taureg: Blue Man of the Sahara" is a piece of Historical fiction following a Virginian woman and a French aristocrat as they find themselves in the desert meeting with the Taureg of the Desert, who are commonly referred to as the 'blue men'.
They are Taureg nomads of the Sahara desert whose first instruments were recycled junk, and who play deep, dark African blues.
A diplomatic source in Bamako said last summer that Fowler was "surveying the ground for the UN about the Taureg rebellion in Niger," and had met representatives of Taureg rebels in Europe.
