Late problems (>6 months post RT and usually 2-3 years or more) include skin telangectasia, subcutaneous fibrosis and thickening, lymphoedema of the arm, lung fibrosis, brachial plexopathy, and secondary cancers.
Other less common fundus findings include perifoveal telangectasia and cotton wool spots, both at the macula and peripheral retina.
Congenital PAAs with arteriovenous communication occur in isolation approximately 60% of the time; the rest occur in association with hereditary hemorrhagic telangectasia.
