An Asiatic tree (Terminalia catappa) widely cultivated and naturalized in the tropics and having fruit with edible seeds. Also called myrobalan, tropical almond.

Owais Ahmed Ghani formally inaugurated the Monsoon tree plantation campaign in FATA by planting a sapling of Terminalia Catappa in lawn of the Governors House, here on Friday.
To date, specific host trees are represented by Eucalyptus species, Moquilea tomentosa, Cassia grandis, Ficus microcapra, and Terminalia catappa (7-11).
