In Greek mythology, the Trojan War was waged against the city of Troy by the Achaeans (Greeks) after Paris of Troy stole Helen from her husband Menelaus, the king of Sparta.

They say they are the oldest cultivated fruit in the world, that the Trojan War was a result of Paris giving the apple that denoted the most beautiful woman in the world to Aphrodite rather than Helen, they say that their link to being the 'forbidden fruit' comes from the link to the Latin word 'mala' meaning bad, but maybe they are wrong, perhaps, it's from honey and bees and the sweetness of life and the Greek word 'milo'.
