A theater without a proscenium, in which the stage is at the center of the auditorium and is surrounded by seats. Also called theater-in-the-round.

It's also the first time I've done theatre in the round which I'm pretty excited about.
The theatre, The Round with 180 seats, opens in August and will be the region's only theatre in the round ( the next-nearest being the Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough.
Among those celebrating is the Bruvvers Theatre Company which has received pounds 50,000 to help build a small scale theatre in the round in the Ouseburn Valley.
