The Festival of Light is taking place on Friday, December 4, featuring French trapeze artists Transe Express, who will provide the night's entertainment alongside a number of musicians from Kirklees.
Suspended in mid-air around a giant chandelier which lit up the night sky, the Gallic theatre company Transe Express dazzled the crowds in the Oval Basin.
Transes caught the filmmaker's eye during late-night screenings in 1981, and since then became 'an obsession' with him.
