Current methods for measuring the binding affinity of ligands to transmembrane proteins require the use of whole cells or cell membrane preparations, which are heterogeneous and too impure to generate high quality, reproducible biosensor data.
It was expected that two forms of NR10 exists, a transmembrane type and soluble form.
There are two main classes: * receptor TKs, which are large transmembrane proteins with a catalytic intracellular kinase domain * non-receptor TKs in the cytosol, nucleus, and on the inner surface of the cell membrane.
