Among them, children have pupils regularly taken part in litter picks, many schools have only Fair-trade tuckshops and school travel plans have been introduced to encourage pupils to walk, cycle or car share to school.
School tuckshops have swapped famous brand names for Delight and Bubble bars to raise pupil's awareness of international trade issues.
This research was a joint initiative between the Queensland Association of School Tuckshops and the Heart Foundation (Qld) and was funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing through the National Child Nutrition Program.
