Summary: Libyan flag carrier Arab Libyan Airline has signed an order for two planes with turbo-prop planemaker ATR, a joint venture between EADS (EAD.
It's a offshoot of their original business, J D Aero Maintenance, and specializes in heavy maintenance checks, airframe and composite repair, and line maintenance on turbo-prop aircraft like the Canadair (CRJ) and Dash 8 series.
The no-frills carrier pulled out of the city 14 years ago when it stopped using turbo-prop planes, having run a scheduled daily flight to London Stansted for four years.
