We saw two firemen going up an enormous turntable ladder up to the seventh floor, peering with powerful search lights into various rooms there, and we then saw the firemen pulling away parts of the front of the hotel near where the bomb had exploded, presumably to get to the casualties more easily.
They watched the turntable ladder which is used to tackle high-rise blazes and carry crew members skywards, and saw firefighters and paramedics carrying out a rescue in a mock-up car crash.
Students were very pleased to have experience of aerial turntable ladder of 105 ft.
