A city of northeast Bosnia and Herzegovina northeast of Sarajevo. It is an industrial center with salt springs known since Roman times. Population: 142,000.

Speaking to the AA, chairman of Syrian Chamber of Maritime Business and Turkey's Honorary Consul General in Tarsus, Abdulkadir Sabra, said on Tuesday that Syrian President Bashar al-Asad had a chance to visit Turkey's Tuzla shipyard during a trip to Turkey in 2007.
International officials condemned "in strongest terms statements by the Republika Srpska Prime Minister Milorad Dodik denying the nature of war crimes" that took place in Tuzla and Sarajevo during the 1992-1995 war, the statement said.
Dominic Whiting believes the best bargains on the peninsula are in the Tuzla area - near the airport and two new golf courses opening later this year - where property offers value with good potential for rapid capital growth as the area develops.
