The term type A personality describes a person who has an aggressive, ambitious, and competitive character.
In 1974, a report was published by Meyer Friedman and Ray Rosenman, suggesting that the link between type A personality and coronary heart disease (CHD) was very high indeed.
The prevalence of type A personality among patients with dizziness who visit the neurotology clinic may result from the fact that type A patients, being more time-urgent and keen to get back to routine, are more likely to seek help with their symptoms.
