Moving on to the suggestion that returning adult fish may develop ulcerative dermal necrosis (UDN) in the South Tyne in November, we have no evidence to suggest that is the case and samples of dead adults collected in previous late summer and autumn on which post-mortem viral and bacteriological tests have been carried out have not indicated the presence of UDN.
