Basically three types of blueberry are grown commercially in the United States; the Northern Highbush blueberry, Vaccinium corymbosum L.
Our North American native blueberries include Vaccinium corymbosum (highbush or cultivated), Vaccinium ashei for southern (rabbiteye) varieties and Vaccinium angustifolium or (low-bush) or what are called 'wild' blueberries.
stolonifera, Ilex verticillata, Salix candida, Spiraea tomentosa, and Vaccinium corymbosum are infrequent locally.
