Florentine sculptor and painter who was a tutor of Leonardo da Vinci and is best known for a magnificent equestrian statue in Verona.

Da Vinci''s the Annunciation was painted from 1472-1475 and is credited to both Da Vinci and his mentor Andrea del Verrocchio.
The second chapter contains a register of documents, a catalogue of forty-eight items, and comments on his graphic work, all the sheets of the so-called Sketchbook of Verrocchio (attributed to Ferrucci), and nine other entries.
Trained as a painter in Florence by Verrocchio, Leonardo worked for the duke of Milan as a military engineer, and only secondarily as architect, sculptor, and painter (7).
