This is a shocking indictment of how volatile substance abuse is not taken seriously.
A report, carried out by St George's University of London, was published yesterday and shows the worrying trends associated with people dying from volatile substance abuse (VSA).
Re-Solv will use its pounds 91,136 grant over three years to develop projects to tackle volatile substance abuse in the region; Them Wifies will receive pounds 85,829 for a project which uses drama to educate women with learning disabilities about health issues; while the Greater Walker Community Trust has been given pounds 60,000 towards the running costs of the organisation, which supports older people in east Newcastle.
