The coupling is the Symphonic Poem, the Voyevoda, giving us two pieces rarely heard in the concert hall.
But at a bargain price, and with an equally supercharged account of the early symphonic ballad Voyevoda included as well, the disc is highly recommended.
Today, for instance, we recorded a piece by Tchaikovsky called Voyevoda.
