American actress and singer who began in vaudeville and became popular on Broadway and in films, such as The Sound and the Fury (1959).

American blues singer and musician whose band shaped the hard-edged, electric Chicago blues sound of the post-World War II era and exerted a tremendous influence on British and American popular music. His many blues classics include "Long Distance Call," "Mannish Boy," and "Got My Mojo Working."
