July 23, 1994 King's Theatre, trained by Henry Cecil for Sheikh Mohammed and ridden by Mick Kinane, won the King George at Ascot by a length and a quarter from White Muzzle, with Wagon Master third.
To manage one that size requires a crew of 32 men -- including the wagon master and his assistant -- 26 teamsters (also known as ox drovers or bullwhackers), and night herders.
His big break was in the 1950 film Wagon Master, though he left Hollywood three years later and went back to rodeo.
