Waugh  (wô), Evelyn (Arthur Saint John) 1903-1966.
British writer whose satirical novels, such as Decline and Fall (1928) and Vile Bodies (1930), lampoon high society. His later works, notably Brideshead Revisited (1945), reflect his interest in Roman Catholicism.
