The Saddleworth White Rose Society is lobbying to have the area - which is now in the Oldham Borough Council area - designated as part of Yorkshire.
He had previously created a pure white rose for the Saddleworth White Rose Society.
The Yorkshire Ridings Society, founded in 1974, and the Saddleworth White Rose Society exist to maintain long-established Yorkshire traditions and heritage.
