Wilkins (w l knz), Maurice Hugh Frederick 1916 2004. British biophysicist who contributed to the discovery of the structure of DNA. He worked with Rosalind Franklin to produce x-ray studies of DNA that helped Francis Crick and James Watson establish its structure as a double helix.
