Scott (1794-1871) was known as The Wizard of the North.
The performance, called the Wizard of the North East, was held at Newcastle's Metro Radio Arena and starred pupils from St Joseph's Primary School in Blaydon, St Cuthbert's Primary School in North Shields, English Martyrs' Primary School in Newcastle, St Benedict's Middle School in Ashington and St Mary's Primary School, Jarrow.
MAGICIAN John Henry Anderson, born near Aberdeen in 1814, billed himself as the Great Wizard of the North.
