The report forecast that the market for wood fuel pellets is expected to double by 2012 from the 2008 level of nine million tonnes.
It is also encouraging farmers to plant more woods and hedgerows to cut their carbon footprint, through storing carbon, reducing the need for heating and cooling of buildings by providing wind-brakes and shade and providing wood fuel as an alternative energy source.
