10 May 2017 - US-based capital and business infrastructure provider XMI has been acquired by South Central, Inc.
The Unisys XMI software allows ObjectStream's modeling tools, Rose SNMP Link and Rose GDMO Link, to provide greater support for, and seamless integration with, the newly announced Apsyda Internet Infrastructure Platform from ObjectStream.
XMI should make it easier for geographically dispersed development teams to integrate metadata from multiple repositories, making it cheaper and easier to develop applications by communicating over the internet.
XMI capitalizes on three standards already in use by major software vendors: XML; Unified Modeling Language (UML), which is a common language for specifying objects and business models; and the Meta Object Facility (MOF), a standard for distributing object repositories and managi ng metadata.
