A river of central and northern Brazil rising in several streams and flowing about 1,979 km (1,230 mi) generally northward to the Amazon River at the head of the Amazon delta.

EATING ANTS & MONKEYS The Kamayura live in the middle of Xingu National Park, a vast territory that was once deep in the Amazon but is now surrounded by farms and ranches.

Xingu Black Beer's exporter, reports it has paired up with the Y Ikatu/Xingu foundation so that for every case of Xingu sold, a portion of the profits will go toward saving the Xingu region.
