Chlorobenzenes (ClB) represent a halogenated aromatic hydrocarbon group, of which 1,4-dichlorobenzene (dClB) is known as an international reference compound due to its ecotoxicological and human toxicity potential [27].
The aim of this study was to provide more evidences for potential mechanisms of [H.sub.2]S-related mitigation of developmental inhibition caused by the organic pollutant, 1,4-dichlorobenzene (1,4-DCB).
Vinylchloride (highly toxic, flammable, and carcinogenic organochloride, important monomer) and its precursor, 1,2-dichloroethane, as well as naphthalene, chloroethane, and 1,4-dichlorobenzene appearing in source A, suggest local manufacturing of polymer materials, including the polyvinyl chloride (PVC), specialty polymers such as synthetic textile fibers, dyes, and possibly organo-aluminum compounds [1,44].
Case studies are provided on the ecotoxicological concerns and regulatory status of four specific chemicals: orthonitrochlorobenzene, 1,4-dichlorobenzene, hexachlorobenzene, and microbeads.
([dagger]) Anthracene, chlorpyrifos, diazinon, isopropylbenzene, 2,6-dimethylnaphthalene, 1,4-dichlorobenzene, bromacil, 3-t-butyl-4-hydroxyanisole, isopropylbenzene, 4-cumylphenol, and 4-n-octylphenol were not detected in samples.
In the case of bulk structure (Scheme 1(a)), dried CdS-n powder was blended with P3HT solution in 1,4-dichlorobenzene (DCB).
Decreased hepatic CAT activities was noted in Anguilla Anguilla pre-exposed to beta-naphthoflavone [2], in goldfish during chronic exposure to 2,4 dichlorophenol [66] and in Jenynsia multidentata exposed to 1,2- and 1,4-dichlorobenzene [31].
