To carry off an improvisational "
Agnus Dei'' or "Credo'' by cranking in jazz motifs and syncopations required considerable attentiveness to both fixed choral dynamics and apparent (if legislated) jazz spontaneities.
The
Agnus Dei cross, Couchman notes with simple words aided by images, "represented Jesus as a lamb holding a cross on his shoulder." The cross was also shown as an anchor, especially in the centuries of persecution when depicting a cross invited danger.

Alto Faye Sharabi's superbly controlled Domine Deus,
Agnus Dei and the multi-talented soprano Anna Thompson-Hall's rendition of Qui sedes ad dexteram were equally as uplifting and delicate.
Referring to the Latin for "Lamb of God," the newsletter says that paragraph now reads: "The
Agnus Dei should not be prolonged unnecessarily nor may other texts be added to this chant."

Agnus Dei, Adiemus and Benedictus, attention switched to the Welsh premiere of The Peacemakers.
Where a pianissimo was required it provided a welcome respite to the busyness of much of this work: the Passus section of the Credo was one such magical moment, as was the first part of the
Agnus Dei.
