(ä′sə-hē-kä′wə, ä′sä-hē′kä-wä) also A·sa·hi·ga·wa (ä′sə-hē-gä′wə, ä′sä-hē′gä-wä) A city of west-central Hokkaido, Japan. It is the commercial, industrial, and transportation center of a fertile agricultural area.
