(ou′ər-băk′), Arnold Known as "Red." 1917-2006. American basketball coach. One of the winningest coaches of all time, he led the Boston Celtics to 9 NBA championships, including 8 in a row between 1959 and 1966. As a team executive for most of the next 40 years, he oversaw teams that won 7 additional championships.
