The ministry said the satellite's near-infrared imaging spectrometer (NISS) camera will be used to peer into space with one of tasks to determine the brightness of the M95
barred spiral galaxy in the constellation Leo.
Remarkably, all of the great galaxies nearby occupy the same plane, one that is proportionately even thinner than an American dime: the Milky Way and Andromeda Galaxies, the two superpowers of the Local Group; the giant spiral galaxy M81 in Ursa Major; the giant elliptical galaxy Maffei 1 and its giant spiral neighbors Maffei 2 and IC 342, which all hide behind interstellar dust in Cassiopeia and Camelopardalis; the giant edge-on spiral galaxy NGC 253 in Sculptor; and the giant elliptical galaxy Centaurus A and the giant
barred spiral galaxy M83 in Hydra.
The Solar System is located in one of the arms in the disc of a
barred spiral galaxy we call the Milky Way, with a diameter of about 100,000 light years.

To end this article, an introduction to another galaxy: NGC 5792, a typical
barred spiral galaxy slightly elongated in an east-west direction and situated on the northern border with Virgo.
Now, however, it is firmly categorised as a
barred spiral galaxy, with loosely wound arms and a relatively small central bulge.
