"The highlights include
basket weaving, traditional perfumes and incense like bukhoor, and handmade jewellery.
The inspiration for the collection comes from the ancient art of
basket weaving to design a portfolio of original woven effects, creating a multi-faceted range of different structures and consistencies.

One of the attendees, Ms Katenya Pithatho of Ngamiland Basket Weavers Trust at Etsha 6 said the
basket weaving sector was neglected, but yet contributing meaningfully to the economy.

Besides, there will be Russian doll making and wood carving pop-up shops at Gulf Mall and Tawar Mall respectively on January 22, and
basket weaving demonstrations at City Center, on January 23.
In the exhibition, 70 works that best exemplify the craftsmen's high level of skill in
basket weaving, lacquerware, pottery, embroidery and wood crafts are presented, allowing visitors to enjoy the diverse and exquisite world of Tohoku traditions.
