There followed a number of major mapping projects in the High Arctic, most of which were under his leadership but typically involved collaboration with other scientists:
Bathurst Island with P.G.
Up to two metres of rain falls on northern
Bathurst Island each year, with more than a metre of rain in eastern parts of Melville Island.
A company from 1st Battalion, Royal 22e Regiment, will be patrolling
Bathurst Island, which is approximately 500 kilometres from Resolute Bay, Nunavut.
Information from various language groups--Djambarrpuyriu, Gupapuyrju (on Elcho Island, Milingimbi and Yirrkala), Kunwinkju (in Gunbalanya), Iwadja (in Minjilang on Croker Island) and Tiwi (in Ngui on
Bathurst Island)--was gathered for the purposes of this study.
In 1986 Australian Customs seized it near

Miller & Gunn (2003) suggested that higher than average accumulations of snow, possibly in combination with wind compaction or icing, caused catastrophic die-offs of Peary caribou between 1994 and 1997 in the
Bathurst Island complex (BIC).
The original pottery was set up by Eddie Puruntatameri, the first indigenous studio potter in the early 1970s at Nguiu on
Bathurst Island. For many years the pottery made woodfired stoneware created from local raw materials.

Bathurst Island.

A major native forest clearing and woodchip plantation project is now underway on Melville Island which, together with
Bathurst Island, makes up the Tiwi Islands.
The scientists had tracked Kerry from
Bathurst Island to Cornwallis Island.
