This paper intends to explore and understand the being of inquisition through Prasna and Kena Upanisads, and certain Bergsonian concepts dealt by Gilles Deleuze in his
Bergsonism. The Kena and the Prasna Upanisads illustrate certain basic principles of the Indian tradition of knowledge where it is laid down that the knowledge seekers must be exasperated and examined through a certain period of time, during which they must exhibit the real aspiration with austerity, chastity, faith and devotion towards learning, and the method to be adopted for teaching should be the question and answer method, means, disciples should be taught through explaining the answers to their questions.
At the same time, the new discoveries of Einstein and the vitalism of
Bergsonism suggest, respectively, that the scientific method, and a modern version of spirituality, will be reinforced by exposure to modernist artworks.
