Invertebrate zoologists consider the phyla Dicyemida, Orthonectida, Placozoa, Cycliophora,
Entoprocta (Kamptozoa), Chaetognatha, Pterobranchia, and Enteropneusta along with the order Seisonidae.

Entoprocta Barentsia gracilis M.
She became an authority on Bryozoans and published a series of papers on the
Entoprocta and Bryozoa of the Pacific Coast of North America.
Arthropoda had the highest number of taxa (161 taxa; mostly Crustacea), followed by Annelida (122; mostly Polychaeta), Mollusca (114; mostly Bivalvia and Gastropoda), Bryozoa (50), Echinodermata (43), Cnidaria, both Anthozoa and Hydrozoa (27), and other phyla with one to three taxa (Brachiopoda, Cephalorhyncha,
Entoprocta, Nemertea, Platyhelminthes, Porifera, Sipuncula).
Among animals, there were Mesozoa, Gnathostomulida, Bryozoa, Cycliophora, Myzostomida, and Nemertea; also there are Rotifera, Nematomorpha, Scalidophora, Acanthocephala,
Entoprocta, and Gastrotricha from Coelomata.
Mr Zhang said that the team's reinterpretation of Cotyledion tylodes as belonging to the
Entoprocta phylum adds further support to the idea that "nearly all the living phyla of animals suddenly appeared in the Cambrian".
The phoretic association of Urnatella gracilis (
Entoprocta: Urnatellidae) and Nanoeladius downesi (Diptera: Chironomidae) on Corydalus cornutus (Megaloptera: Corydalidae).
Current biogeographical distributions of freshwater sponges (Porifera) and bryozoans (Ectoprocta and
Entoprocta) are poorly known in Indiana.
