Fibromatosis is an uncommon neoplasm that occurs sporadically or as part of an inherited syndrome like familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) and Gardner syndrome. Abdominal wall fibromatosis has a slight female predominance.
It is usually solitary, but up to 10% may present as multiple tumors and the latter may be associated with Gardner syndrome, myotonic dystrophy, or Turner's syndrome.
Odontomas have been associated with trauma during primary dentition, inflammatory and infectious processes, hereditary anomalies (Gardner syndrome and Hermann syndrome), and odontoblasts hyperactivity, and alterations in the genetic components are responsible for controlling dental development.
Risk factors of development include previous history of abdominal surgery, familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) [2, 3], and Gardner syndrome [4].
(2) They may present as single or multiple lesions and may either be solitary or manifest as part of a syndrome such as Gardner Syndrome.
Multiple supernumerary teeth, which are generally impacted, are characteristically seen in cleidocranial dysplasia, cleft lip and palate, Down syndrome and Gardner syndrome (8, 9).
Because Gardner syndrome may include different organs, it is generally very tough to treat it, and the therapeutical effect is also doubtful.
