(French ʒirodu) n (Biography) (Hyppolyte) Jean (ʒɑ̃). 1882–1944, French dramatist. His works include the novel Suzanne et le Pacifique (1921) and the plays Amphitryon 38 (1929) and La Guerre de Troie n'aura pas lieu (1935)
