(gôr), Albert, Jr. Known as "Al." Born 1948. Vice president of the United States (1993-2001) under Bill Clinton. He earlier served as a US senator from Tennessee (1985-1993). He shared the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to raise awareness about global warming.
