(2) The
IMINT portion of GEOINT includes electro-optical (EO), advanced geospatial intelligence or imagery-derived Measurement and Signatures Intelligence (MASINT), overhead non-imaging infrared, synthetic aperture radar, GMTI, infrared (IR), and full motion video (FMV).
Ensure you request that all of the POCs above send any time sensitive threat reporting from
IMINT, SIGINT, and HUMINT sources directly to you.
* Aerial Reconnaissance-Low (ARL)-provides day/night all-weather airborne SIGINT collection and analysis capability; COMINT, FLINT, and MASINT collection capabilities simultaneously employed against separate targets and fused with
IMINT sensor data acquired from unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) or other sensors to provide an integrated view of a single target; sensor to sensor cueing for immediate servicing of targets.
To provide additional imagery intelligence (
IMINT), many US strike aircraft were equipped with recce packages during Desert Storm and its precursor, Operation Desert Shield.
When we stack multiple assets, we benefit from seeing and hearing the enemy, while passively observing activities through
IMINT and MASINT for a more complete picture.
(5) The BCT should use a similar structure with two MOS 35G imagery analysts per shift to exploit imagery often neglected due to manpower limitations (See Figure 1 for a possible BCT
IMINT support structure).
It is a sprawling discipline, a passive discipline, overlapping but not conforming to accepted notions of SIGINT,
IMINT and sometimes even HUMINT.
There are multiple leader skills one needs to understand to fully exploit GEOINT and all its components-Imagery,
IMINT and Geospatial Information and Services (GI&S).
currently in operation with the 204th Military Intelligence Battalion located at Southern Command in Panama, are fitted with either imagery intelligence (
IMINT)- or signals intelligence (SIGINT)-only mission payloads.
His imagery analysis assignments include CM&D, III Corps, Fort Hood, TX; 452nd MI Detachment, 172d Light Infantry Brigade, Fort Richardson, Alaska; V Corps ACE,
IMINT Requirements, Heidelberg, Germany, and Third U.S.
Facing the accelerated time lines at which they intend to conduct military operations, modern militaries are demanding a more dynamic imagery intelligence (
IMINT) product to match the more dynamic battlefield environment.
