It is quite a problem with dairymen when and in what quantities to buy bran, cottonseed meal, gluten meal, or linseed meal, and which one furnishes them the most value for the money.
We have a flock of about 40 mixed Rhode Island Reds and Aracaunars, who are fed a grain mix (rolled oats, corn, milo) and a laying mash (bran, linseed meal, salt, eggshells, and milk or water).
