Last Sunday, known as Palm Sunday because of Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, our church family began Passion Week with the observance of The
Lord's Supper. Jesus instituted The
Lord's Supper at the last Passover Meal that He shared with His disciples just before He went to the cross to die for our sins.
He is not saying that by partaking of communion or the
Lord's Supper we are saved, but by believing into Him and who He is: The Bread, which has come down out of heaven.
He also questioned the
Lord's Supper and falsely claimed that some saints who were born centuries later were there.
