It was concluded the main drivers of human-wildlife conflicts were African elephants (
Loxodonta africana) raiding crops like maize (Zea mays), bananas (Musa sapientum) and legumes (Cucurbita sp.), whereas, lions (Panthera leo) kill livestock, mainly cattle (Bos taurus).
Common ungulates include plains zebra (Equus burchelli), impala (Aepyceros melampus), dik-dik (Madoqua kirkii), Grant's gazelle (Gazella granti), African elephant (

Another factor contributing to the unprecedented levels of wildlife-induced costs could be the marked increase in populations of large herbivores and carnivores, particularly the African elephant (
