Metch·ni·koff
(mĕch′nĭ-kôf′, myĕch′nĭ-kəf), Élie Originally Ilya Ilyich Mechnikov 1845-1916. Russian zoologist. He shared a 1908 Nobel Prize for work in immunology, especially the process of phagocytosis.
